Hobbie of Mine.

Part of what I love to do , is production work in creating a photo shoot.   There is a lot of thought that goes into a look.  Finding a beautiful model is one of the first thing that inspires me. Here, Alesha has this amazing long, vibrant red hair. I knew I wanted to use my texturizing iron that would press a fine crimp to her hair. This act alone fluffs up the hair and feels quite wonderfully thicker. I went for a modern rendition of an edwardian style, up-do.  In the end, it reminded me of a kabuki, geisha-style.  I really like that hair took a turn into an artful personal expression.  That is the beauty of what our hands can create.

Wardrobe, an important factor to frame my work and my model.  I decided on this gorgeous vintage dress, lined with lace and satin.  The color is one of my favorites, solid, navy blue, which stood strong with her red hair.  I love to mix up it up, so I added a trendy, feather necklace.  Everything fit Alesha and her style to the tee.

Look close and you can see the fine texture in her hair.

The make up I chose was a soft rainbow look across the eyes.  It opened up her eyes and it was more playful than what she usually wears day to day.  My goal is to compliment her features and the style and at the same time try some new  techniques to broaden my skills.  Her lips are simply sexy with a pinkish red.

Setting is also really important. For a great shot, it needs to be clean, well lighted and a subliminal point of interest.  I love the texture added here that seems adds another layer of novelty.

With her hair worn up, her  neck and back are exposed and  gives  her an air of sophistication.  Simply marvelous.
